Been there done that ( many times) in my youth

and lastly 147 pieces of electric guitar

Best NOT to do that! I'm rubbish on the guitar !

Is this entertainment ?

In my view the best move made by the beeb in recent times was to get rid of the embarrassment of Clarkson and his acolytes.

Much as I applaud any content leaning to my area of interests. .and James May is not the worst presenter of such.

It is being sold as a bit quirky. .and odd to pay such attention to detail.

Fairly regularly, I suggest that people imagine what sort of a world they would have without engineers and inventors. They don't seem to fancy ploughing with a bit of wood pulled by an ox!

So, I suppose that some exposure is better than none, even if the populace at large do not understand what is happening or how things work.

Apparently this is 'slow TV' BBC Four have shown many bits of 'slow TV' over the years, all of which have been excellent,  'Handmade' being the most recent

In my view just about every bit of telly and writing May has done over the years has been interesting. Can't see this been any different. It's a pity he's been lost to the BBC after this (or so I hear)

Ah, yes. The man seen recently using emery to polish a smokebox dart on a lathe with his long hair quite close to the chuck…..

Oh well. As a Colt owner I will certainly watch that episode. Strange delivery aside, the content of his progs are not too bad if a tad simple but then they do need to have non-geek appeal…

See it for what it is – a bit of 'light entertainment'. If the content doesn't float your boat then you have the choice – don't watch it!
