      This engine is based on a wonderful engraving I found on the interweb a few years ago. I have no idea of where I found it or what the engine is called, so any ideas welcome. It is based on an A-frame but the other end of the shaft is supported by a brick wall. I have about 400 tiny bricks ready and waiting…

      The frame is fabricated from 3mm steel. The cylinder (just over 2″ high) is fabricated from brass, which is why I could only afford steel fro the frame:

      The reduced journals (providing positive positioning) are dead to scale:

      This approach to a low friction governor valve may be of interest. The o-rings are 3/16″ by 1/16″ bore:

      The water pump has a 1/8″ ram and uses an o-ring gland. The valves will be in a separate chamber:
