"Lang may your lumb reek"
Well, I ve just lit up as it's rather driecht here today.
Many thanks for all the good wishes.
David will certainly be a hard act to follow, that's for sure.
I was offered this post unexpectedly (it is good to know that someone, somewhere, has faith in my abilities) and all I can do is try my best. Now I am to take over the editorship I will need the help, guidance and advice of readers and acquaintances on this forum. Please think of the Editorial office as having an ever open door; don't be afraid to pop your head round and shout at me. Model Engineer is your magazine – I am just taking care of it for a while.
I am not an engineer, as you know, but I have had a lifelong appreication of model engineering and model making in all its many and varied guises. I am please to say, therfore, that Stewart Hart, well known to many of you, has agreed to provide me with technical and proof reading assistance. I have always admired Stewart's work and delight in his eye for the unusual.
The well-known 'Woolfie', regular poster on here, is also going to be involved in moderating the forum and, in due course, updating the website content, hopefully improving and expanding it.
So – a bit of change to come, perhpas. Do drop me a line any time.
