As of the 1st of February, Diane Carney will be the new editor of Model Engineer.

I will continue to edit Model Engineers' Workshop on a part time freelance basis.

Just to say thanks for the work you have put in over the last few years and I hope you will now be able to get some time in the workshop with the reduced work load.

Important question for us writers…for future MEW articles, is sending them direct to you (but at the david@david-a-clark.com address) the right thing to do still, or should they go via the office? Presumably your old "myhobbystore" email address no longer works…

A big thank you for your efforts over the years, in making both mags what they are today. Have seen many changes to MEW since I bought 1st issue and constant improvement. Have taken ME since June 1961 and it has varied in quality quite a lot but is now very much better. Very well done! Good luck in your new direction.

Very best wishes to David with the new ventures and welcome to Diane as editor of ME. A lady editor! I don't know what Percival Marshall would think but I'm sure Curly would approve. Perhaps Diane can encourage some more ladies to join Cherry, although my wife thinks the best thing about going to the m.e. exhibitions is that there is never a queue for the ladies toilets.
