Back in the day we hired a contractor to EDM machine some cartwheel flexures into a block of martensitic steel; wish we had heard of these guys, as they obviously did a better job (the flexures were not parallel).

Wow, that’s precision cutting.

How does the wire cut then? It’s obviously some kind of sacrificial process I’m guessing.

Is the stamp for some commercial use, like an inspection stamp on a certificate?  They looked to be making more than 1 of that particular design?

Basically a brass wire is the sacrificial cutting tool fed from one spool through various tensioning rollers and current pickups onto another spool after it has passed through the work area, normally .2mm in diameter but you can go down to .1mm if memory serves but the .1 did tend to snap on a regular basis.
