After moving home over Christmas the Lathe and Milling Machine are still on pallets in the shed, waiting for the weather to get better before I start to sort out the shed of dreams there are a few things I still need to get going and this is where some good advice should come in handy, the first thing I am looking to get is a band saw have seen an Axminster 338quid or there about's has any one got one of these or is there some thing better out there, the other thing's are a Dividing Head and a Rotary Table think that's it for now, nearly forgot I could do with an edge finder for the Centec Mill there seams to be quit a lot of different ones, have seen one on YouTube not electronic just simple that's what I like but don't seam to be able to find the one I'm after.
Alan, I don't think many amateurs would expect to use suds on a bandsaw or even a hacksaw. 1155 seems to be a small industrial design rather that the more common and cheaper 4 1/2 in Warco / Chester etc. The Axminster range does seem to be a bit different from the others. Read the reviews.
If you get one do report back as it would be interesting to get a bit more user info.
Thanks for the advice David I had a look only question is there are two sorts the other one has a pointed end at the other end as well as the norm, is it worth getting that one if so what is it used for.
Thanks for the link Bazyle had a read through it and still don't no if its any good the comments were a bit mixed, will have to keep looking and thinking as there is no rush at the moment, what make of band saw does every one else use some pointers would be handy.
