In the thread I started about ploughing engine cylinders, Jason gave a link to a web archive page about a Dutch BB1 build:
https://web.archive.org/web/20180831172659/http://fowlermodels.nl/index_bestanden/Page2075.htm
When I tried the link, I got a page with some guff about invalid certificates, something I’ve encountered a number of times recently.
I tried removing the s from https to see what would happen, and this time got a page from my broadband provider, Three, saying that I couldn’t view the page due to having the adult content filter enabled.
Needless to say, there is no simple way to switch this off – Three try to get you to have what they describe as a ‘Chat’. I have been down that path before – hours wasted, and the only result is soaring blood pressure. As I was going into town, I went to Three’s presence there and had them turn off the filter, and now I can access web.archive.
Why this was regarded as unacceptable to those of tender years, I have no idea. I note that Screwfix is also now accessible – one has a suspicion as to how Three’s filthy-minded algorithm is working there, but ploughing engines? Perhaps they assume that you have to be geriatric to want to see such things.
