Adcock and shipley mill fitted with bridgeport turret head

Hi Has anyone fitted a Bridgeport turret head to an Adcock and Shipley  2E  horizontal mill ,are there any snags or fitting problems ,is there adequate working clearance between the table and spindle nose.

Hi There

I think it should be fine.

There is a lot of vertical movement on a 2E.

They used to be offered as an optional extra many years ago I think.
