Abrasive polishing sticks

Aluminium oxide

I'm looking for one piece of aluminium oxide polishing stick used in EDM processes among other things. The size I require is 1/16" x 1/2" (or 2 x 12mm), either 4 or 6" long and grade 320 or 400.

I've done a google search and have found some suppliers but they will only sell in minimum quantities of 12 pieces. Even the one piece will last me several lifetimes use.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier, preferably in the UK but I have no problems with the Far East or USA if postage is reasonable.

Hi Dave

I have a few pieces left over from my last job, but on holiday for the rest of this week I can send you some next week if that is soon enough. I used it in my old job on spark erosion polishing from EDM suplies. I will send a PM next week.

Dave Have you tried nail files ? ( not the metal ones )

I've made a small external hone and the piece of al.ox. is the abrasive. 3mm wide would be OK, but nothing wider for the size of tool.
