‘About the Author’ in Classifieds. Why?

When one looks at a classified advert About the Author is shown at the bottom of the advert.

The shown information looks to have been carried over from the old site (I think it was optional for a member to be able to say something about their interests).

As far as I can tell this about text is now only visible on the adverts pages and I do not see any way to edit the users about text or even create a new one. Is this just something I have missed?

Also, How are potential buyers meant to respond to an advert as there are no explicit contact details shown

It’s the old “profile” that some people filled in on the old site, also appears at the bottom of things in the “features” and “Workshop” sections. I raised it as not needed early on but still there. Also it was briefly possible to alter the profile on here during testing then that option got removed.

Click the blue user name and contact by PM, saves having an e-mail visible to all and sundry and avoids the old problem of people deleting the auto generated message in the email.
