      Hello everyone,

I have been a bit of a moocher around this forum for a long time, I have finally decided to get involved in a little more than observation. Over the past few years I have been amassing tooling, tools stock etc with the idea of finally getting "that workshop" built. Always toying with the idea of live steam and posess several second hand Minnie's in various states of existence, a good starting point I say. Life it would seem would like to keep me waiting for the ideal set up, but with a modest single garage and a few quite evenings a week it is a step in the right direction and a start at least.

I'm currently working on my smart and brown sabel lathe. Working on it how you may ask? Well, during storage and several house moves, it has picked up a few bumps and was a bit of a state when I first picked it up, more on that later.

So I'm on with a replacement motor, I'll post pictures and questions about that and ask the hive mind for some help. Thanks for having me I hope if nothing else a virtual cuppa in the shed online may now be a two way conversation.

      Cheers, Jason

Thanks for the welcome and offers of help, I'll post again in the help section a few issues I'm having. Will need to double check when I get home, nothing more tedious than a poorly explained problem!
