The tale about Moses and his Triumph is not easy to find in the good book, as the Concordance is silent on the matter, but there is a clear reference to a different make of machine in 2 Kings 20.9:
Isaiah is asking '… shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?'
And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees…
I guess that the fuel available originally was not of good anti-knock property, and then improved, as the advice seems to have been successful. Could this have been the first recorded use of alcohol in the fuel, or was the USA exporting TEL as early as that?
