Was there ever a series of words and music for Brit in 5" gauge and if so could anybody tell me where and when. So far I'm getting nowhere fast. I wish to trace back issues of whatever publication it was, if it ever existed. For me to download the Usher carry on and learn to use it would take longer than the build time! Thank you.

If it it helps, LBSC did a "titfield thunderbolt in 3.5 and 5 inch gauge" series

          search here for titfield thunderbolt

Some words from the man himself

Don't understand "Usher carry on" but LBSC described his 3 1/2 version in the '50's. Using the ME search index will give details of that and a lot more. For more help on a 5 in you might look for similar designs (full size) and see if there has been a series on that of just generally read a load of ME articles by the well known vuilders like Martin Evans and Keith Wilson.

Thanks for advice Ady1 and Bazyle. Every little helps. Its just that the Perrier plans from Norman that were re drawn by C J Gilburt in the 80's leave a bit to be desired, in particular because several of the castings norm sold me not long before he sadly left us are smaller as cast than the finish machined dimensions on the plans, however I'll carry on engineering and carefully compensate for any shortcomings. Its not a scale replica after all. Thanks
