Some time ago there was a discussion on the use of Android devices for 3D CAD. The general consensus was that it was useless even on a 10 in. tablet.
A few months ago my wife bought a Chromebook (Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook 15IJL6) for about 200 euro. I have just had an opportunity to play with it. I thought I would try Onshape, so I fired up the Chromium web browser and went to http://www.onshape.com, put in my credentials and off it went. It was necessary to plug in a wireless mouse as the touchpad was too confusing but it then worked very well. It seemed to be more responsive than my HP laptop and has a 10 hour battery life.
It seems to be an excellent system for use “on the road”. The only downside is that it needs a wifi signal.

P.S. the link above should be https not http. I only typed the truncated address and the forum software put the rest in incorrectly!
