These chips have been available for years … but Mr Ali lured me into a ‘must have a play’ purchase !

Do you have a specific application in mind Michael?

          No, John … not yet

I was just led into temptation.

[ and thought others might have either used the chip, or be interested … given the pricing of that breakout board ]

You can get I2C devices which give you lots more ports on your Arduino etc, as far as I can see you can chain them, of course it slows down reading of individual pins, but you can’t have everything

I think that’s a digital mpx, the 4067 is analogue though it can also handle digital.

The little breakout boards arrived safely today, courtesy of my very reliable Evri courier.

They are nicely made, and if they perform to spec. are probably at least  an order-of-magnitude cheaper than the equivalent mechanical switch.

Unfortunately, personal issues preclude me from testing them any time soon.

I think there is a dual channel 8 way too; used for stereo input selection. I’ve probably got some somewhere.
The I2C expander is more interesting, it has ‘interrupt on change detected’ pins. Useful for ESP32C3 which has few i/o lines.
