I recently took delivery of a nice used Bison 3 jaw chuck which I will use on my Boxford once I have made a backplate for it. It came with a backplate fitted which was assumed to be Myford fit since it came from a Myford equipped workshop but I am pretty sure it isn't as it measures about 1½" x 6tpi. Can anyone suggest what that might fit?

      thanks, William.

Early Harrison L5 is a possibility.

Old Harrison lathes have that nose thread – both engineering and wood lathes

Thanks both, I'm going to sell this on so I'll list it as "probably" early Harrison L5.
