I’ve only just started the piston/cylinder assemblies. There seems to me to be a mistake in the drawings for the steam passages in that the two 3/32 steam passages from the steam chest are shown on the side projection as going out on the face where the cylinder covers fit – if that were the case the team wouldn’t be admitted into the cylinder bore itself unless the cover had a bypass passage fitted.
THe end projection seems to suggest a filed passage is made into the cylinder bore but this isn’t shown on the drawing –
I’m going to use the technique I used on the Stuart Vertical 10 (also being shown in ME at present) of milling a small relief at the end of the cylinder which will cut into the 3/32 passages
