          From the home page :

Top left corner of page on green bar click log in ,

Once that page loads top left corner – on the green bar click settings ,

Once that page loads bottom of page click communications preference centre and uncheck the boxes that you don’t want to receive emails for .

Click home to go back to homepage .

If it is a notification to say there is a new reply to one of your threads then you can manage what threads you are notified about buy clicking on "Bookmarks" at the top of the page.

To stop it happening again don't click that option when you start a new thread.

Any reason why e-mail alerts stopped working for me some time ago, checked my account, and e-mail alerts are selected, checked my e-mail address and that is OK.

Also checked my spam filter, junk box etc.

Some email providers block them silently as spam.

Fair enough, but they often block password resets as well which is problematic.

Sorry Neil, didn't see your reply and didn't get a notification either.

When I received a reply to a sale item there was no e mail address to reply. What happens if I reply to the alert itself. I suspect it will not go anywhere.
