I assume you are trying to put the photos in the toolpost album that was empty. I just loged in as you and had no problem loading a photo. Will delete my image later

What file format are you trying to upload?

EDIT I also deleted the original post by mistake as someone had reported it a sa double post

It seems generally helpful to keep file sizes down. On advice from another site I am currently finding 600 x 800 pixels a workable size.

… One of which looks rather unconvincing as a 'Quick change toolholder'

[presumably that is Jason's test image]

Hi – Apologies for such a simple question but how do I set up an album for posting photos onto the forum? Selecting "Camera/image icon" leads to "Choose an Image" followed by "No albums found". How do I create an album?

Hi Greensands, click on the Forums in the black bar above and then scroll down and click on Website FAQ's, it's at the top of the list.

                    Regards Nick.

Or click 'Albums' on the green bar and follow the instructions.

Just out of curiosity I wonder if there is any limit on the number of photos or total memory usage of an album?

I've not managed to find one yet, only downside to too many in on album is it can take a while to open.

FWIW, I typically resize my pics to 8" x 6" @120 pixels/inch which works for me and gives a decent size picture for the user if he clicks on it in a post.

The system automatically resizes them to 1200 pixels in the longest dimension when you up-load, and displays them as 600 in the largest dimension by default (you can right click and view to see them larger).

I'd heard that before, Neil and the values I'd used were an attempt to avoid some unknown 3rd party software rescanning/resizing my (carefully prepared wink ) pics. Particularly in the upward direction where pixels have to be invented.

                                Seems I'm failing.

                                I could resize to 10 x 7.5 x 120 or perhaps 8 x 6 x 150 but would I be wasting my time …. would they be "processed" anyway?

(And to answer the obvious question …. no I'm not really that bothered anyway. It's mostly a theoretical exercise. Time is hanging heav(il)y

If you are using windows and have icons along the bottom for your browser and file explorer once you have opened the gallery and got the box “drag files here” just click the file explored icon along the bottom, locate the image and click on it. Keep the mouse button down and drag it to the browser icon which will then reopen and you can move the mouse to the drag box an drelease the button.

You can also do similar and drag the image straight to a post as there is no nee dto use a Gallery (album) like there used to be.
