I have managed to misplace the cross slide gib strip from my ML7 during a move. Myford / RDG do not seem to have any in stock for the foreseeable future; although I could make one I am currently too busy, does anyone have any other suggestions on where to obtain one or have an old one knocking around?

Gib strips are reasonably easy to make. Just measure the gap that it fits into by by stacking feeler gauges and measuring the stack and find some steel strip that thickness or just thinner. Cold rolled bright strip is suitable or if you can find some bronze or cast iron even better, or in a pinch some hard brass. File the edges of the strip to your dovetail angle (or mill/grind them if you have the facility) and you have your gib. You may have to drill divots for pins/adjusters and if you possibly can, scrape some oil flakes into the working face.
