Give the Chinese their due, they are constantly innovating. And £7 for such tech seems quite ‘fantastic’.

An Apple Thunderbolt 4 USB-C …….. versus ……. an Amazon basics cable.

He’s not really comparing like with like….the Apple one does a lot of processing within the cable ends whereas the Basics one just passes current. But the differences are nonetheless quite interesting.

Thanks for that! Yes, it’s amazing what’s inside some of these very ordinary looking cables.

Edit. I’ve got two Thunderbolt ports and two USB-C ports on my Mac and the speed difference when transferring data to storage devices has been quite noticeable in the past.
