      Hi,

I’ve just registered with the forum and thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself.

I’ve recently become the proud owner of a Super 7, which I’m slowly becoming familiar with, although I’m sure I’ll have some questions as I start to use it more.

      Kind regards,

      Gabriel

        Welcome to the forum, Gabriel.

There’s a lot of very helpful people on here who will happily answer questions, but I’d also recommend reading books and magazines about lathework – I find it sticks in the mind better.

          Welcome to the Forum.

There are lots of Myford users on here, so if you need any help, just ask.

And even if your question is a general one, there will always be someone to help.

Have you got a copy of Ian Bradley’s “Myford 7 Series Manual”?  You might find that a great help.

The “bible” used to be L H Sparey’s “The Amateur’s Lathe”

For general information on turning, Stan Bray’s “Basic Lathework”, or Harold Halls’s “Lathework – A Complete Course”.  Both these are in the Workshop Practice Series and are obtainable from our usual suppliers.

          Howard
