OKMO / Microcosm S01 Steam Powered Helicopter

Really like this helo! Had some fun in the workshop as usual making the timber plinth, drilling and countersinking the aluminium base for a brass wood screw to hold the base to the timber plinth and designing and drilling the mounting holes on my mill and turning the two tiny brass ‘skid lockdowns’ on my lathe. The mounting holes for those two tiny 2mm stainless screws I took really slowly and used Tap Magic, I haven’t tapped a lot of 2mm holes and I did not want to break the tap. The ‘skid lockdowns’ should stop the helo from taking a tumble to the floor when people out of curiosity just have to have a closer look at this great looking helo.
