My Pendulum is driving me crazy, 2 seconds at a time… So for a break I made a citrus juicer this past weekend.

The 24v DC motor and right angle gearbox is from an old garage door opener.

The Juicer business ends are CNC milled from HDPE  – Used a large step over with a 10mm ball mill – this left lots of nice ‘teeth’ on the upper cup, to grip the citrus skin so it does not rotate, and on the lower rotating part so that most of the soft pith is removed, into the juice. The swing arm operates a microswitch to turn on the juicer as the fruit begins to compress between upper cup and lower boss.

        Typically exquisite, Joe

’though with the price of citrus fruits in the U.K. such a beast would surely be wasted on me 🙁
