I am having a clear out, prior to downsizing and the following patterns are available.  I made them because the trade castings were either too expensive or looked nothing like a Burrell.  They are compatible with the LSM or John Rex design and some parts are specific to the single crank compound version.

First up, the flywheel with heavy rim to suit the Single Crank Compound drawings.  This is correct size with elliptical tapered spokes.  Also a rear cylinder cover pattern which also does for the front cover by machining off the lugs.

Next up, the two rear wheel hub covers.  Outer with correct wording and drip deflector to suit a Devonshire engine, plus the rear cover with drip deflector.

The winding drum with correct 3 radial bolts to secure the wire rope end.

The low speed gear ring.  I am pretty sure I have the patterns for the other gears except the back axle gears but I have not found them in the stores yet!

Three patterns for the bronze bushes on second shaft and rear axle tube, the eccentrics, and a correct Burrel style boiler clack, which includes enough meat to make the pipe flanges as well.

Finally, bronze bearing halves for crankshaft and big end bearings plus the various gland followers (piston rod, valve rod and regulator rod) and flange / lid for the water pump.

I don’t want any money for these, but the recipient will have to pay postage costs.  A donation to the Revolution engine project here:

https://advanced-steam.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Revolution-Appeal-Version-3-fourth-draft.pdf  would be a good way to say thank you.

If there are no takers, the whole lot will probably go on the wood burner this winter so don’t delay.  PM me on this forum for contact details etc.

Dear Martin , Please do not burn them, Whilst I have no need of them, I have over the years done a lot of casting and if only to save them that someone may have need of these castings and with patterns available the job is half done ! When the end came at Burrells it is said that the contents of the pattern shop were burnt in the yard. Just call me an old fashioned romantic – fool ! Where abouts are you ? Noel.
