Hi, my 2.5 gauge Dyak as no cladding. Enamel paint was applied right on to the copper boiler. Due to the poor condition of the paint I have completed removed it. My question is, is it ok to use etch primer on the copper and showing bits of solder. Thanks

Greetings, it’s OK to paint a boiler, expect some discolouration.  It will be fine until and unless you have to repair it, then all the paint has to come off so as it can be heated up.

          Regards

          Brian B
