I have a dual outlet sievert regulator the model number is 3045..so old it is no longer listed!!

It has developed a leak between the connection tube that screws into the Propane bottle and the larger diameter body that has the  sticker on it ( hope that helps) although the pic is 3.4mb jpg it will not load

I have rung the UK distributors and they cannot assist, but does anyone on here know of a firm that might look at it and repair it?

It is unlikely you will find a company to do this task, health and safety Etc. Good luck. Noel

The connection tube should just screw into the regulator body.

Often there is a broached hexagon inside the part that directly touches the bottle that allows that tube to unscrew (that is the part that is changed when the regulator is sold in a different country with a different propane bottle interface).

The challenge is that the screwed joint may be loctited. The fact that it is leaking might mean the loctite has failed with age, which also increases your chance of unscrewing it.

At the least, it is worth trying to unscrew it, clean everything and reassemble with a thread sealant (e.g. Screwfix 4373J).

If your propane hose looks anything like the one in the photo, a replacement hose would be a good idea.

If you cannot fined a reputable expert repair shop personally I would purchase a new one, there seems to be plenty for under £20.  Also consider the cost of repair, shipping etc its a no brainer !

Also when one considers the possible outcome of dodgy gas equipment ????

              Cheers John

Regulators normally have their date of manufacture stamped on them. The recommended life-span is 5 years, this does seemsa bit short, but would be a requirement for, say, boat gas safety inspections AFAIK.

The condition of the hoses in the picture above is appalling.

I think it may be five years because few people change hoses and that’s likely the limiting factor.  It seems cheaper in some cases to buy a new regulator with hose than buy replacement hoses and clips.
Yes, those hoses on that eBay offering were bad. I wonder if the buyer replaced them?!

The last couple of regulators I bought were very cheap.

I doubt if you would get an adjustable reg of that quality for £20!

Ah! missed the dual outlet and it does seems these are few and far between.  Single outlet adjustable units are available from under £20 and even the “better” brands are in the £30-£50 range but I cannot see any with dual outlets ?

I paid under a tenner for the regulator for my Pizza Oven and it hasn’t complained about the quality! 🤣

For more exotic stuff I’ve used Hamilton Gas Products.

Would a double outlet be any good?
