The motor is missing so speeds would be guesswork depending on motor speed.
The spindle (top left side of first photo has a single speed pulley on it and perhaps drove off one end of the motor. The other end would have had a 5 step pulley driving the 5 step pulley (right hand side of second photo) This drives what is probably a worm gear to a shaft that runs underneath/inside the full length of the machine. At one end (right hand side of first photo is an eccentric cam driving a hinging lever (just above inserted yellow rectangle in first photo) that would move the top crosslide – which has a spring loaded return. Some sort of cam maker? The small shiny aluminium pulley visible in second photo seems to be a fluid pump.
Looking at another – same – machine in pieces, there are small metal chips in the tray so that machine has been cutting.
