      Good morning all.

Newbie to this group but trying to get involved in engineering projects. I have acquired a clarke cl300m lathe. The forward switch was getting difficult to move so thought I would replace it. Ordered a replacement from machine mart and preceeded to fit. However I believe I have inadvertently rewired a connection wrong.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram with the connection to the pin numbers on the switch?20231214_091844

Welcome to the forum. The wiring diagram is at the back of the manual (dowloadable from https://www.clarkeservice.co.uk, and you should be easily able to work out the switch connections by using a testmeter. They all work much the same and the concept is pretty straightforward.

Unforunately, you may find the wiring in some chinese machines is not always as good as we would like, so don’t assume anything – test and sastisfy yourself first/

The 2 middle pins on mine have a live and neutral wire. I also know one pin on the corner had no wire. However this may be sufficient to get me sorted thank you.

Is k1 the power from the speed control as I have that going to my switch as #1 on my switch sorry I’m not an electronics expert.
