New member here.

I make woodworking hand planes in brass and steel dovetailed. I started in feb 2020 and got myself a wm180 lathe, I just sold that and updated it to a wm250V, I will do a post later about my experience with this lathe & Warco but I just wanted to introduce myself and am very glad to find this forum. I am not a machinist or engineer, all self taught since 2020, I am a trained antique furniture restorer and cabinetmaker of over 30+ years.

Wow that’s impressive. Some more pictures would be interesting, but perhaps not on the mirror as I’m a little confused as to where the reflections end.
Sure you have developed some special techniques that would be of interest to the forum and as you don’t mention a milling machine are you using a vertical slide?

As Bazyle says, that is an impressive plane. A tribute to your skill.

You may very well be able to help other less experienced newcomers

Certainly, your techniques will be of interest to Forum users, and possibly justify an articler in M E W

It was all done by hand but using a wm180 lathe. All my planes are handmade. will see if I can post more photos here but they are on the mirror sorry.
