      Well almost

I have seen several questions and suggested answers on how to find/where are my old posts. I have just found how to list all the old posts you were active in.

      Go to your profile

      Click Forums

      Click Engagements

They come up in date/time order and go back for many pages, 420 in my case which is almost 10500 threads

That’s interesting; I tried it last night and got no results, but it works OK for me now.
The two boxes to the left of it did, and still do work OK as I added screenshots in a different thread, probably whilst you were typing this. (Topics Started & Replies Created)

Helpfully it even works if you click on a different user’s profile, so I can look at Michael’s engagements etc.
The difficulty is that I first need to find a post by Michael, so I can click on his user profile.

Kind of buried and not exactly intuitive but that probably doesn’t matter once you find out.

            This will help Gray!

Well, that’s a brilliant discovery as all the photo’s on threads I posted are still there as well !

I also notice that any of those old threads can be instantly resurrected by simply adding a reply

One slight problem with that but I won’t make it public and it won’t affect usual posting or carrying on with old long-running threads such as build logs. Now Michael will be digging deep to see what it is.

Thanks Nick and Jason. I have found my Engagements.  I suppose we will get used to the new system eventually. The work the Mods have had to do in the past weeks is staggering. I hope they all think it worth it ,finally.

Not just the mods!  We’re bombarding Mortons with bugs and requests where a single developer does most of the work.  I’d buy Andy a well-deserved pint if I met him.

Nothing spectacular, but I’ve noticing a number of things have started to work properly over the last two days.  (Gallery still wonky, but I successfully published a PDF from it, and it was broken before.)  Good to see progress.

Don’t know how fixes are being prioritised.  Educated guess, I suspect the ‘latest posts’ performance problem is difficult and WordPress and the hosting service have been asked for advice.  Whilst waiting for them, makes sense to tackle some quick fixes, even if the benefits aren’t instantly obvious to us.  Always helps to remove some grit from the works when you have the chance.

Hi, one little niggle about the Engagements is, while you can select one of the first or last three pages, you can only get to the middle ones, one at a time after the last number or third from last number visible, so it takes an awful long time to select one in the middle, why the two arrows at each end won’t advance the page numbers, so you can then select a page number of your choice, I don’t know. Having said that, it seems that all the “What did you do today?” topics before the current one, cannot be found, and it was a post I believe I made in the 2022 one that I was looking for.

                                      Regards Nick.
