Does anyone know which issue contains the details of constructing the attachment for drilling square holes?  I did start to look in the archive but it taking so long and there are a number of issues not listed.

Could be Volume 197, issue 4287? I don’t think the archive goes back that far though.

Here is a searchable index if this is not the correct article.

                No wonder I couldn’t find it, I don’t have a sub to M.E., only M.E.W.
I have had a look at Weary’s links. Plenty to study there. Thanks Richard.  All I have to do now is make it.

                cheers all

                  Macmarch – two tips.

The Warrington coupling inside it uses two ‘bearing plates that came from SKF are hard but thin. Rather than cut them as recommended I used a ‘cheapo’ diamond burr (fraise) and ground holes with my ancient Dremel. It did for the burr but it was worth it.!

The No2 MT was machined in the Myford using a taper turning attachment. If, when you make yours, and it sort of fits where it touches. machine away the center 1/3rd of the length.
