        Hi,
in order to build a project I have planned, I need a small ball joint or Rose joint, perhaps as used in model car suspensions.
I am thinking of one with mounting threads of about M3, but it needs to move in more than one plane, so a simple bolt through a hole in a bar won’t do.

I have tried the local model shops, who say I need a part number, but haven’t a catalogue, and also an ex-colleague who races model cars, but the place he recommended can’t help either.

        Any ideas/suggestions?

        Regards
        Geoff

I used to fit these to HGV throttle assemblies, I would have thought that a visit to the spares department of your local commercial vehicle shop would do the trick. Regards Pat

Model helicopters seem to have universal joints connected to various parts of  the rotor.
If you have a local model flying club it might be worth chatting to them.

Do not know where you live, but a helicopter modelling former coleague reckoned Slough models www.sloughrc.com were his suppliers.

                  Or possibly look up  Ripmax.

                  Regards.
