I do a lot of woodworking (cabinet making) and have build a fair number of grandfather clocks, the mechanicals of these clocks are not always readily available and it has always been my dream of building these clocks with all the parts made by me. This means investment in more machinery, do i buy new or used? I would also like to make, refurbish and customise some of my handtools(woodworking) and would end up building some models as well. What do I buy? I am anti machines from the Far East, my woodworking equipment is made by Felder in Austria. I’ve seen that a German made Wabeco D6000 can be bought for about £4200, how does this lathes compare to Myford

Any comments and info will be appreciated.
