I went on Saturday as a visitor and thought the show was great, as usual.
I always like looking at the scrapyard display. Not exactly sure why. When ever I see it I just have to stand and think about how much effort was taken to get that realistic detail. It cant exactly be made to a plan or drawing.
On another note, really liked the build-in-progress of the F4U Corsair. Very difficult to get the gull wing right.
Used to fly the radio control versions of these some fourteen years ago. My first build was a write-off. Just couldn't get the shapes built right!. Then got a ready made one, and wrapped it around a goal post during one of the landings. These planes have to be 'flown-in' at relative speed, rather than glided in…similar to spitfires.
The third model survived, and got given away once I gave up the hobby.
It will be great to see if the builder of this model will actually 'fly' it. It really is an intersting build.
