Hi all,

I’m a new member to the site, from Northampton.

i recently obtained a Unimat 3 and will be using it, to the best of my abilities, to make parts for woodwind musical instruments.

currently trying to machine new finger rings and a pad cup to solder together to make a new missing key for a clarinet, from Nickel Silver round bar.

Im also looking for any attachments suitable for the Unimat 3 that may help me with my projects and may give me new ideas for things to make and use.

I’m looking forward to readings hints and tips and experiences on the forums.

Thanks for reading my intro and I’d welcome any tips and advice.

There are plenty on the forum with Unimat 3 or similar size lathes, so you might do well to browse through some of the previous threads.

Hint: although there is a search box on this page, there is another [sometimes more effective] version about half-way down the home page:
