New member here, I repair woodwind and brass instruments for a living and use a Myford 7 and an Emco Unimat SL1000.
Looking forward to asking questions, getting advice and reading articles.

          Welcome David,

There are lots of helpful members on this forum. A few , like myself are in different parts of the world and share a similar hobby. I live in Sydney, Australia and building a steam traction engine.

MEW is a good place to share your hobby and "blow your own trumpet" (pun intended).

          Paul.

            Welcome to the forum David,

A less ambitious instrument maker here! Currently trying to make a bone saddle from a bit of cow stolen off the dog. Bandsaw worked well to get a 'stick' of bone, now wondering if I can mill it to shape…

The Exeter and District MES have a casual gathering for coffee on Friday mornings at the Stoke Hill community centre in St Katherine's Priory next to Morison's. You've got to do some food shopping so might as well combine the two.
