Hello everyone. I've been searching for quite a while to learn lathe & milling processes. Nearest course i can see is 130 miles away & only a 5 day crash course. Are there any local clubs or people that offer tuition? Paying of course. Looks like a great community here 👍 Ollie

Shame your not in Hertfordshire there's a good course I'm currently undertaking, I started with watching copious you tube videos before purchasing a lathe then getting confidence up at the course and asking questions here

I'm sure you are aware of Model Engineering Solutions based in Helston who may well have a lead on the ME activity in the area. Another lead will be the Helston & Falmouth Model Railway club who probably also have some members at larger scales. Perranporth may be your nearest established club but that doesn't mean there aren't lots of modellers nearer and Padmes can put you in touch with them.
