      Hello,

I'm tony. live in a small town in new south wales Australia called Narrabri. I have a 9'' Hercus lathe and a Huron mill. the mill is a bit of overkill for a small home shop but the price was right as it is broken. No formal training in machining but an inquisitive mind and a belief that we should never stop learning have let me pick up quite a bit of knowledge on the subject.

      Thank you,

      Tony

Hello Tony. I have a 9" Hercus ARL which I obtained recently, and I love it. Are you planning to make a particular model of anything?

Hello Simon. No I don't intend building a model at this time but who knows what the future holds. metal working machines have always interested me AND AS i worked as a welder for a lot of years I was around them a lot. I was fortunate in buying the hercus as it appears to have been very well cared for, and it came with every conceivable extra. from the serial number it's made in 1949.
