The links to the advertisers' websites from the adverts on the right of the screen seem to be broken – they just lead back to the current page. I have tried this both on Firefox and Chrome with the same result.

        Russell.

It's been like this for ages, at least in Firefox.

If you right click and choose 'open in new tab' they just open the original page in a new tab. Left click on them and they open a new window with the advertiser's site.

Odd behaviour, personally I would prefer they opened a new tab.

I can mention it to the web folk.

                  Hi Neil

We use Firefox at work and get problems with it now and again

I am not convinced thats its the best

I've raised a bug report, obviously holidays will limit how quickly this is looked into.

For now, just be aware that clicking on an ad will get you into a new window with the advertiser's website in it.

I suggest all forum members visit as many advertisers' websites as possible, just to be sure

I noticed this a while ago and just assumed it was my wonky computer. However, using my iPad, tapping the adverts opens a new tab with a "page not found" message and a helpful link to the homepage which in turn brings me back to where I started. Luckily, all the ads which interest me are in my bookmarks anyway.

Strange behaviour – right click and selecting "open in new tab" or "open new window" takes you back to the current page but left click opens a new window with the correct site.

                          Russell.
