      Hi all, 
      not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes
       
      I renewed my membership to MEW and this time I thought I would try direct debit instead of paying the full amount.
       
      I recieved my letter back stating that all was well, so I enquired about the FREE GIFT of an engineers hand book
       
      Now although I am not absolutely desperate for this book nor will my world collapse if it never shows, what gets me going is that I was told it will take UPTO 28 DAYS
       
      its now day 45
       
      so either my math is wrong or do they just send these out as and when they can be bothered in which case whats the enticement to pay be direct debit???

          Hi There
          The offer normally lasts for 28 days, the time the magazine is on sale.
          Then they order the books from that offer and send them out. This normally takes 30 days.
          This is about 58 days.
          I will shout at them again.

              Its the first time in many years of subscription that I have actually qualified for anything 
               
              so I was a little disappointed with what had happened
               
              no harm done, like i say its not the end of the world

                                 Any chance I can get a job at your place, I could do with having long holidays
                    I take it no news is – no book yet but keep waiting
