        HI

I've a Print and Digital subscription to Model Engineer magazine, which until the demise of Acrobat Flash, allowed me to have access, on my computer, to archived magazines back to 2001. Now the question I'm asking is can anybody get access to these magazines on a computer which has a Windows OS.

Secondly I've downloaded the Model Engineer app on my ipad, now the filter which controls the years only goes back to the year 2012 yet I can only get access to free archived magazines as far back as Oct 2016. Any earlier magazines has a price tag alongside them. On querying this with Pocketmags they stated and I'll quote them -" Please note that the access to archives is provided by the publishers via their website and hence we are unable to assist you in this query"

The above two questions are related – as all I want is a means of accessing archived magazines back to 2001 as my Print and Digital subscription states I should be able to do, and I'll also state that the latest Model Engineer Magazine is still advertising this access.

        Regards

I have no problem viewing the oldest archived copy on my W10 machine.

What Pocketmags say is correct you can only get the full archive via this site

            Hi Malcolm,

If you see prices, you aren't looking at the archive but at a listing of back issues.

Pocketmags are correct the archive is provided via this website.

First make sure you have entered your subscriber number in your profile.

Then if you click 'magazines' on the green bar above or this link:

            http://www.model-engineer.co.uk/members/DigitalEditions/

You will be able to select the titles covered by your subs (you will need a flash player of some sort to view older issues). You won't see the archive links until you have entered the valid subs numbers.

MEW archive is back to the first issue. ME is back to 24 August 2001.

            There's a lot there. Enjoy!

            Neil

              Hi Neil

THANK YOU for your numerous replies, I believe my ignorance was the reason I was unable to access the archived magazines, ie I did not realise that chrome was blocking the use of Adobe Flash, one lives and learns!

              Regards

              Malcolm

Hi Malcolm, no problem, what matters is that you are in now!
