      I see that MEW 263 is now available, I received an e-mail from PocketMags to say it was ready! Unfortunately when I go to my library the magazine is listed but with a button asking me to pay £5.99. My subscription to MyTimeMedia is still current so this should not be the case.

      If I log into the website and go to Magazines the latest issue is available but I can't read it as I don't have Flash (nor will I install it) on my computer. I can only assume that the link from MyTimeMedia subscriptions to PocketMags has broken.

      Anyone else having this problem or is it just me. I am guessing that the chance of a fix before the New Year is fairly remote!

          Hello John,

          Someone else had this problem with MEW 262, the suggestion was to reload pocketmags, I think.

          I think you will need to go through help@pocketmags.com if that doesn't work as it is a technical problem.

            I had the same problem with the latest ME, it corrected after a couple of days.

              Thanks Neil, I have tried reloading the app to no avail. Logging on through a browser to PocketMags show the same problem. I will contact PocketMags on the e-mail link you provided.

                I had this also – I managed to get it working by selecting Restore Purchases from the settings menu and entering my subscription number.

                    I have been having this problem for the last few issues of ME & MEW .

                    What i do is log into my ME/MEW account and scroll down to my receipt numbers and copy the one i want to download in pocketmags i then open pocketmags and click settings and then click restore purchases and in there i click " i have a print subscriptoin tha gives access to digital " and click it , a window will open and you can paste the number you copied and click activate ( it doesn't matter if you don't have a print subs as i don't and it still works ) .

                    Once it goes through i go back into settings and click update app data and this usually fixes the problem .

                          I have picked up multiple subscribers having problems accessing the latest issue on Pocketmags.

                          As a result I have just emailed everyone I can possibly think of who may be able to sort the problem, but I imagine it will be some time before this is resolved because of the Christmas break.

                          My apologies to anyone and everyone affected by this issue.

                          It seems some people have been able to solve this by reloading Pocketmags, but you shouldn't have to do that.

                          Digital subscribers can access the issue on web archive by putting their subs number in their profile and clicking 'magazines' on the green band at the top of this page. You will need to have a flash player (or compatible system) on PC or android.

                              Thanks Neil for your email point to this thread. Thomas from pocketmags had to fix the last 2 notifications ME & MEW and the latest notifcation as you have seen i emailed about the trouble again.

                              If people go into their Pocketmags account it shows that they are "Inactive" I looked everywhere but their is nowhere to change this??? Thomas had to last time.

                              I have 4 different apps I use one on the PC and tablet (Pocketmags), One for ME and one for MEW on the tablet also they are the ones linked off this forum. I have one other which is web based reader. Not one of them works while this is blocked.

                              This look more like a hack which has accessed accounts and is blocking the downloads for now. Accessing details is just a short step. It may also effect printed delivery if let continue. No good Pocketmags sitting on their hands it requires URGENT sorting as it could lead to accessing details effecting members personal banking details etc.

                              Reloading will not stop whats happening at Pocketmags end it is a quick fix only. It could be as simple as a in house programing bug or someone who has clicked on a box thats they should not have.

                              Lets hope it is sorted soon.

                                We have run the subscription job again and everything seems to have worked this time. When run previously we received invalid responses from the API.

                                Our tech guys will arrange a call with DSB on our return from Christmas Holidays to fully investigate the issue.

                                  The issue is with pocketmags not mtm so no need to apologise Neil.

                                  This problem arises every year and usually dissapears after a few weeks , it is more than likely something to do with an update that wipes the subscribers data.

                                  If all else fails one can always log into the ME/MEW homepage and view thier magazines .

                                    And so it continues Notification ME 4577 available to download I clicked on it as soon as it came in and well blow me down I could go and download it. However had other things I had to do so as I do waited till Sunday morning and what did I find???

                                    GRRRRRR angry Again from the email I have to pay for it!!
                                    Through the app's no download available!!!!

                                    Neil I know as I am sure we all do this is not your or Kate's problem BUT if we do not let you know the hassles Pocketmags is causing subscribers it continues to happen. Just note ian's comment above, how ever this has now for me at least gone on for far to long and no acceptable excuse is worthy of me wasting my money if it continues.
                                    I am only one who might cease subscriptions ME & MEW due to the problem.

                                    If as Ian said it is/has been an annual problem then there is good reason Pocketmags needs a bigger kick in the nether regions obviously the rear has not worked.

                                    Off to email Pocketmags yet again.

                                      As Neil has been let out on good behavior for a few days and may not be able to check in on the forum I have e-mailed the guy at Pocket Mags who did the the fix on MEW but as he said they will need to get the Tech guys to look into it after the holidays.

                                        Good behavior?? since when?? If he is anywhere he should be taking photos for magazine shots hope he's sober enough.

                                        It wasn't just MEW it was both Jason.

                                        Yeh poor tech guys 4 days to sober up they might this time fix it for good. LOL

                                          Ray, I did say to them that we were now getting the same problem with ME, mine is not showing up either.

                                          Nothing back yet just automated replies from Neil and Kate that they are not in the "office"

                                            Jason again thanks they had sorted it out. BUT as todays notification came in YET AGAIN no download available. this is ME thats every issue for 2 months if not longer. angry

                                            Guess what notificatio's come i just 1 day before the weekend when they are not about to fix it and we want to sit down and read it. angryangry

                                            I call that chewing gum repair as it bursts the bubble every time.

                                              Had the same problem again , i'm getting sick of logging into my account so i can copy my subs number then go back into pocketmags and paste it in to restore my purchases .

                                              I'm now starting to wonder if it is really worth the hassle with pocketmags as i have to log into this website to get my subs number anyway so i may as well read the mag while i'm here .

                                              Maybe pocketmags need some personnel changes starting with the IT department !

                                              I still feel it would be better if i could downlod each copy as a pdf from this website as i have paid for it and if i choose to print out a hard copy or part of i should be able to easily and not one page at a time ! – after all i would be paying for the paper and ink . I'm not worried about archived copies either just the next issue so if i wanted something from a back issue i would still have to do it as i do now .

                                              I know this has been done to death before but if pocketmags don't liven thier act up i think MTM need to look at an aternative as this is becoming a real PIA and the pdf download would be the best option .

                                                  I am now no longer able to retrieve any of my ME magazines on pocketmags app on the IPAD. tried logging in, re-entering the Order number to no avail.

                                                  Retrieval issues have been ongoing for some time now and pocketmags have never replied to my emails, can someone give them a swift kick up the rear please.

                                                    Hi Jason ,

                                                    I was greeted with an empty library ( latest ME mag ) this time so i updated the app data which bought up the latest issue but as usual it said i have to purchase it , i did what i usually have to do and enter my subs number in the restore purchase / i have a print subs menu and it downloaded .

                                                    This is becoming an annoyance and i feel that it could be managed more efficiently by MTM if they did it in house rather than second or third party hosting or get pocketmags to get their act together .

                                                    BTW , i'm not trying to blame MTM for this issue as i feel it is out of their hands .

                                                    That last thing i want to see is people walking away from either magazine because of this issue .

                                                      My apologies to everyone for the recurrence of this problem.

                                                      I have to assume that the previous problem of a magazine being sent to Pocketmags but not properly 'activating' has recurred.

                                                      I have contacted the company who create and activate the digital editions, asking for the problem to be solved and also that steps are taken to stop it happening again.

                                                      It is possible that it will get sorted this weekend (the last issue of MEW was), so please let me know if it does start to work.

                                                      Thanks to everyone for your patience. I am sorry that I cannot do anything more than try and make sure the people who can fix this do so as quickly as possible.
