I tried printing a page from the digital version of Issue 182, but the page chosen gets overwritten with a copy of the digital index page (not the magazine index page). I get a printed page, but it’s contents are completely covered by the digital index, with blanks instead of the page thumbnails.
Is this obvious bug going to be fixed?

I believe that the digital edition is set up so it cant be copied/printed out.

One page at a time may be possible.
Search on “digital” there’s been quite a few threads.

            Gary,

I have just printed Page 16 from MEW 182 with no problems … Came out perfect.

Ady – In the MEW and ME digital editions you can print, but only 1 page at a time.

Weird, I just tried again and got the same result.
                I’m using Firefox 7.01 under XP Pro+SP3.
Here’s a photo of what I get when trying to print page 58.

                  Gary,

                  How are you printing?

I open the issue (It opens in a new window),
                  scroll to the page required,
click on the page (It now zooms in),
should now see a “Print This Page” tag.
If you click on this, the standard Windows print selection box should appear.
Select the printer and away it goes.

                  Page 68 prints for me (Windows 7 – 64Bit + IE9)

Do other issues print OK or is it just this one?

Have you tried re-booting the PC?

                    Hi Dave,
I selected the page, right-clicked on it, and chose “Print”. It produced nothing intelligible.
I then tried your way and it worked fine, so many thanks for your interest and advice.

There’s clearly a bug in the magazine viewer though, choosing print by right-clicking should print the specified page, but it doesn’t. It should be reported as a bug, but I don’t know how.

                      Gary,

It’s a ‘Flash’ page and Right-Click won’t work, even though it gives you the option.

I don’t think it is a viewer issue … I assume David Clark will spot this and respond.

Glad you can print OK now.

I’m having quite a few problems with the latest update to Firefox (7.0.1). It seems quite buggy. Several web pages that I visit regularly will no longer display properly.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s screwing up flash objects too.

                          Hi Gary,

Firefox may be the problem. I used it for a while a few years ago, but went back to Windows.

                          Still useThunderbird for Email though.

                          regards
