I have just read article on building a Steam Raising Blower by Cliff Almond, just what I need. Are the drawings for the laser cut parts available?

Model Engineers Laser do Blower parts, don’t know if it’s for Cliff’s design though.

Speak to a heating engineer and get the small blower as used on most gas boilers and fit a 12v or motor to suit your application. They often fail and are changed so a scrapper is all you want. Good luck. Noel

As an industrial fan engineer of many decades you would thing I would have knocked one up with no problem, did consider this including buying a 12V motor but, as Baz said, life's too short, I bought one.

That's what I'm currently using, I did have a 12V old fashioned heater blower motor which was easy to adapt

Many thanks for your replies. Yes I new one wouild be nice but at £140 odd a bit too dear. I have managed to pick up a couple of gas boiler fans, a couple of e scooter electric motors and a speed controller off eBay total cost £40. Allways usefull to have a spare blower handy. Many thanks for the gas boiler blower suggestion everyone.
