(Title should read Early Editions of Model Engineer) (##&^%%% auto correct)

Some interesting reading from the Internet Archive of very early editions of Model Engineer.

From: The Model Engineer & Electrician Vol 009, published in 1903

To: The Model Engineer Vol 100, published in 1949

The observant reader will note that the thread title has been ‘invisibly mended’ … so my flippant response is now redundant.

I have been browsing, too, and just chanced upon an issue which must have been a red letter day for readers – 92/2283 which announced the end of the government restriction on the purchase of lathes other than for war work.

"Better lathes will make for better model making" was the editorial comment.

              Thanks for the link.

It's a shame there are only a couple of very early ones, I've known of this source for years but useful for those who have not seen it before.

I was very fortunate to get a complete bound set a few years ago Paul – and just as fortunate that my car's back axle didn't give way when I went to collect them. It was a very slow drive home…

                  Regards,

                  IanT
