Just for fun, but something to wrestle your thinking parts over perhaps!

I do know what it is and have frequently used it professionally, but not in my workshop. It is made out of a pale fine grained hardwood – birch perhaps? Grubby finger for scale.

While not engineering as such it is a clear use of simple technology to solve a real problem.

Hi, for putting a couple of holes in your gold tops, so you can control pouring your milk out, also useable on silver tops for the more common amongst us.

I have been truly frightened by some of these answers!

It is a braille eraser used to flatten braille dots that have been embossed incorrectly
