I mentioned I'm building a 2" Burrell and received a private message from Bricky saying he had the former for the tender if I would like it. He then refused payment, even to cover his postage (which for a lump if hardwood this size was obviously not small), saying put something in the food bank.

One of the reasons I love my model engineering society is how supportive people are, especially to novices. It would appear that extends to the online community too. Thanks Bricky, a real gentleman. I'll be donating some food to the Dorset food bank on your behalf so your generosity can be passed on.
