Hi again,
Just out of curiosity, what happens if you make clock wheels out of non- leaded brass ?

I wonder if they are unleaded, will they go "green" !

The problem comes in the making …
"Hard Leaded Engraving Brass" produces beautiful little chips from the cutter.
"Brass Ordinaire" smears.
It's like the difference between hard Aluminium Alloys and soft Aluminium sheet.
