Is the problem universal or is it just me?
I can’t seem to raise ritetimepublishing.com , the publisher for John Wilding’s horology books. Can’t say I’ve seen any of their ads in ME recently either. I know his books are available from elsewhere.

          I agree Niloch

I was trying to re-direct someone from the Hipp Toggle thread and, whilst I found reference to John and his books, I couldn’t locate RiteTime.

The most recent MEW (No. 175) does in fact carry their ad. and gives their web address but it is still inaccessible.

              Hi There
I spoke to Roger of RiteTime the other day.
There is no problem that I am aware of.
I checked the phone number because he was a reference in John Parslow’s clock being published in ME.
              regards david

                David,
It was their URL that I was referring to, not their telephone number. I guess Norman was too.

Hi, I stumbled across this site that not only carries the books but parts for the clocks as well, ie wheels, chapter rings etc.

I suspect RiteTimePublishing did not pay their domain registration fee on time!

                    Hi There
Rite Time did pay their domain renewal.
The problem was their web designer did not do what he was supposed to.
They can now access their own website.
The web designer did not allow them to do so.
                    regards David

I am still puzzled regarding Rite Time Publishing’s web site. There still isn’t a meaningful response when I use the url given on page 19 of MEW 180. It can’t be just me, can it?

                        Hi There
It does not appear to be working.
I think I was assured it would be working the week we published it.
                        regards David

                          Hi All

I spoke to Rite Time Publishing who were selling John Wilding’s books at the Bristol show today. They tell me that there was a mix up with the web hosting with the result that the site was deleted. I am assured that it is being redesigned/ rewritten and will be launched again soon. All the books were available at the show as was their current catalogue. I don’t know what the rules are for posting contact details of the company here – David maybe you could clarify ? Anyone who is desperate send me a PM and I can let you know the details from the catalogue.

                          Regards

I don’t have a problem with you mentioning RiteTime detaisl here.
                            regards David

Have had this happen to me, I can probably tell you the full story. If you forget or neglect to pay your domain registration, which can happen if the emails go into the junk folder or whatever, you site goes into limbo for about 3 months, and if you do not monitor the availability, almost on an hourly basis, when it is re-released, you get these site jumpers/claim jumpers who monitor well known sites and wait until it is reissued, ant then who come in and claim the site with a view of selling it back to you for an exorbitant amount.

Quite often the best way forward is to just rename your site, into a new sub-domain or whatever.
